Welcome back to a new week of inspiration at TGIFC! This is all about taking inspiration from the photo below. What inspires you about this?
I love anything plaid, so my main focus was that, but I also love Sunflowers and Stampin' Up! have a gorgeous selection in the catalogue right now! For my projects I started off with just one piece of Whisper White card. I used the sunflower image from Jar of Flowers and stamped right down the middle in Early Espresso ink. I coloured the images using the following Stampin' Blend Combos: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Soft Suede and then cut this card in half right through the middle of the flowers!
On this first card, I stamped a plaid pattern in the same ink colours before adding strips of glimmer paper to the stamped, cut artwork. I layered this on the plaid card base with Dimensionals.
I used the Best Plaid Builder Dies to create the plaid pattern on the second card, giving it a much more dimensional look. I completed this card with strips of Early Espresso and Soft Suede card before tying off Linen Twine in a bow. I think it lends the card a lovely rustic feel!
I hope you will find time to play along with us this week and TGIFC275. Simply click on the inspiration photo at the top of this post to go to the TGIF website and enter your masterpiece!
