ORNATE GARDEN - PAULA'FIED

Do I have a treat for you today!  If you are a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator then you may already have a delicious suite called Ornate Garden in your hot little hands.  As a customer, this is a suite of products that you will be able to order from me in April.  What makes it so special is that it is an early release of product available in the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue which will be released in June!!

I love the Retro feel and colours of this suite even though it actually doesn't suit my own style.  But I don't let that stop me from purchasing product.  I look at ways I can fit these products to suit projects or even Paula'fy them as I have done with today's card.

I adore the large floral image from the set Ornate Style because I can colour it!! I broke out my Stampin' Blends and created an "almost" no line art piece.  I could have gone a little lighter on the outline, but I do like that you can subtly see it.

I kept my colour pallet soft and feminine and a little unusual!  I just mixed colours together I thought would look good.  I certainly wasn't trying for realistic.

I also sponged two diagonal corners of my card base just to frame these pretty flowers.  I wanted the flowers to be the hero on this card so I left off all additional forms of embellishment, such as ribbons, twine or bling.  My finished card is so my style!  Clean, minimal fussy layers and fairly modern.  Hope you like it too!

The Ornate Garden Suite of products will be available for purchase to customers from 1st April, 2020.

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator. Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!

TGIFC SKETCH CHALLENGE #255

Happy Friday everyone!  Each Friday the TGIF team bring you a new challenge to play along with.  This week we have a great sketch challenge to entice you.  If you would like to play, just click on the #tgifc255 banner below to go to the Challenge site and upload your artwork to share.

I broke out a new to me stamp set called Morning Star for this challenge.  It was a set I was resisting although not very well, as it turns out!  I am so glad I got it now and am going to be showcasing this very card in a facebook live on 14th March, 3pm NZST HERE.  It would be wonderful if you could join me to see how I made this card following the sketch!

I have used a brand new product called Gilded Gems on this card, which will be available for customers to purchase in April.  I can honestly say these are my new favourite bling!

I hope you feel inspired to play along this week and don't forget to check out my Facebook Live class tomorrow!  Make sure you "Like" my Facebook page so you don't miss any other classes I do in the future!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator. Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!

SHAKE IT UP - CREATING KINDNESS BLOG HOP

Hi Guys!  We are shaking things up a bit for this months Creating Kindness Blog Hop with.........you guessed it!  Shaker Cards.  We are also blessed to have my great friend, Emma Goddard from the UK, join us for her take on this challenge.  I adore everything this girl makes and can't wait to see what she does with it!

I have had my eye on the Host Only stamp set "Make A Splash" for just this type of card.  How perfect is the fishbowl as my shaker component?  Lots of room to have the fish swimming and the sequins moving about.

I used a combination of Inks and Stampin' Blends to create my scene.  The wood table the bowl is sitting on was created freehand with Blends, but the "wallpaper" behind was created with stencils and ink.  I love that our multi media work so well together to create a seamless picture.

Hop on over to the lovely Marcy Denning to visit the next great shaker on the hop!
