EMBOSSING PASTE ON A SCRAPBOOK PAGE - TGIFC253

Do you like working with Embossing Paste?  Well break it out people because that is what our challenge is this week!  I really enjoyed this challenge because, to be honest, I always forget to use this great medium.  My initial thought was to make my obligatory card but then I decided to add an extra challenge to myself instead - make a scrapbook page!

I am a card maker.  I don't make scrapbook pages very often as I find them a struggle.  Much to my surprise, this page took me no longer than it would have if it had been a card!  I guess, I was just in the zone that day!

This photo was taken this past Christmas.  My daughter and I were riding the Christchurch Tram sight seeing the very altered city I know after the earthquakes nine years ago.  There are a lot of empty lots and a lot of construction going on too.  I wanted to reflect that with the elements I used on the page.  The stitched lines and grunge look as the city is sewn back together, the sparkly embossing paste and clean open spaces for the new buildings and parks that have gone up.

I love the addition of the shimmer on the page but it was really hard to photograph.  I would love to see how you like to use Embossing Paste on your projects.  Click on the challenge photo to head on over to the challenge site and share your work with us!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!

BREATHTAKING BOUQUET IN BLENDS - CREATING KINDNESS BLOG HOP

I have a beautiful floral inspired card for the Creating Kindess Design Team blog hop to share with you today and joining us this month as our guest designer is the super talented Sue Vine from Australia!  I love Sue's style, it is very similar to my own.

My motivation for making this card was purely so I could play with this amazingly beautiful background stamp called Breathtaking Bouquet.  It is currently available in the Stampin' Up! January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue on page 31 and I bet you didn't even notice it!!  Go on, go take another look!

There is so much that can be done with this stamp set and I recently held an online class showcasing some fun ways you can colour this beauty without having to be able to colour.  I love to colour, however, and really took it to the extreme with this card!

I adore how it turned out.  It is the best card I have ever made IMHO and I am going to find it really hard to part with!

We have so much floral goodness to share with you this month as you can see from the graphic above, and next up is my good friend Tanya Boser in the USA.  Little known fact: Tanya and I were also team mates in our Artisan year!  I love designing with this chick.
