As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I am so very fortunate to be able to attend the most amazing events! These events are worldwide and many of us attend in our local areas. In November, I travelled to Auckland to spend a weekend with a couple hundred close friends at Onstage. That's what these events mean to me!
A fun part of these events is Prize Patrol. We all like getting prizes, right?!! Many of us from around the world won this super sweet set called Under My Umbrella, which will be available for purchase in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue, 3rd January 2020.
I wanted to do something that wouldn't be totally obvious, so that meant NOT using the umbrella! I chose the sentiment as my starting point and a picture in my head of this card was born. My biggest problem was creating sun rays for a bright, sunny sky!
So to create this look, I simply used the long edge of my Versamark ink pad and gently stamped in a circular motion from the top right corner of the card. It was hard to see where I had stamped until I added the clear embossing power. Once I heat set that, I sponged Daffodil Delight ink over the top for a resist look. It looked just as I had hoped!
The rest of my card was just simple stamping, a little colouring and a bit of fussy cutting. I wrapped the new Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding around my card before tying in a bow and layering my flowers over top. To finish the card with some special bling, I used the new From My Heart Faceted Gems. These are gorgeous, iridescent and flat bottomed!
Next up on the Under My Umbrella blog hop is Maaike van Geffen of the Netherlands. I can't wait to see what she has made for us!
