MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY SET WITH NO WHITE IN SIGHT!

Today I am combining TWO design team projects into ONE card!  My fancy friends and I have been challenged to use absolutely no white of any kind on our projects! Now THERE'S a challenge!

Over at TGIFC we were challenged to feature our favourite Holiday products for #tgifc243.  You can join in with your favourites too by clicking on the banner above.  This created a "perfect storm" for me and my last Christmas card for the year was created from it!

I chosse to use the Christmas is Gleaming stamp set because it was one of my most used this season but the very biggest challenge was always going to be not using white AT ALL!  Crumb Cake is a lovely neutral and one some of my own idols use A LOT.  I started there not really knowing where I was going with it.  But once I settled on the no-line colouring technique I was away.

I used Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Pencils but without the water!  I quite often do this as they are lovely to colour with and they take on a more "vintage" look when used on Crumb Cake and to continue the vintage look I embossed the large sentiment from the Greatest Part of Christmas stamp set in gold.

I know my friend Susan will knock this one out of the park.  I am intrigued to see what she has for us!
If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!

  1. Wow, this is gorgeous! I rarely use pencils because I prefer the intensity of ink and water, but I might have to give this a go!! Beautifully vintage!
