Two posts in one day! I am on fire!!  We have a fun new challenge at TGIFC this week - dry embossing Vellum.  We would love it if you joined in and shared your project with us.  Click on the banner below to go straight to our challenge site and upload your masterpiece.

There are a couple of ways you can dry emboss on vellum.  You can use a scoring stylus and I have a video you can view HERE with a couple of samples.  Or you can use an embossing folder and embossing machine which I have done with this card.

I used the fabulous Bricks & Mortar embossing folder to create my "brick wall".  Simply place your vellum in the folder and run through your embossing machine to create a lovely textural pattern.  Just one thing, vellum can be hard to adhere to your projects without seeing the adhesive.  Most of my vellum piece is attached just underneath the DSP and ribbon.  I also placed a small dot of adhesive at the bottom of the vellum and hid it with a gold glitter enamel dot!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!

Welcome to the November Fancy Friday blog hop.  We are a group of past and present Stampin' Up! Artisans who love to craft together and bring you inspiration on the last Friday every month.  We are a week early though as many of the team are celebrating Thanksgiving with their families around this time!  It won't be too long before we will all be celebrating Christmas and my Fancy team and I are going Blue this year!

Funnily enough, this year most of the Christmas cards I have made have been blue!  I was tempted to pull out something I could colour, but then my Tidings All Around stamp set has not seen an awful lot of love from me yet and I settled on using that.

On Shimmery White card, I first heat embossed the wreath image in clear embossing powder before attacking my card with a stripey water colour wash in Seaside Spray and Night of Navy inks.  I then stamped the leafy image over the top of the embossed wreath in the same colours for a resist look.

One of my favourite ribbons from the Holiday catalogue has been the beautiful Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon, so I threw that on there as it was perfect with the Silver Foil mat underneath the artwork and the die cut "Merry" on the front.  I finished the card with Night of Navy enamel dots and lovely sparkly Rhinestones!

I also carried the artwork through to the inside of my card to pull the whole project together.  I somehow doubt this will be my last blue Christmas card this year.  I seem to be on a roll!

Alisa and I are back with another fun mini blog hop.  We are featuring alternative projects using the beautiful Christmastime is Here suite of products, or in my case, just the stamp and die bundle.

This project is just one of three I have designed for the PDF class Alisa and I collaborated on and released at the beginning of the month.  We wanted to show that this versatile suite can be used for more than just Christmas time!

I am always in need of Thank You cards as I like to include them with every customer order, among other things.  I also don't like anything to go to waste, so this card features a technique to use up all those scraps we inevitably have lying around our craft rooms!

If you would like the instructions for this pretty card, then scroll down a little further to find out how you can get it!  Now to check out Alisa's alternative Christmastime is Here card, which is stunning!  Click on the button below to visit with her.

This PDF offering is FREE with any qualifying online order during November of $40 if you live in New Zealand.  Shop with me HERE and use Hostess code 62V9HXKS for more rewards.  If you live in Australia shop with Alisa HERE.

If you would like to purchase this PDF outright then simply click the Paypal button below to purchase!

Once you check out, select "Return to Merchant" at the end of your confirmation to be taken to the PDF download.  Thank you for you purchase and enjoy!
