We have something a little different for you in the way of a challenge this week at #tgifc231.  We are asking you to take inspiration from page 12 of the Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue!  To join in with your own project, just click on the banner below to upload your work on the challenge site.

I have to fess up.  I don't have a single item from this suite in my stash!  Shock, horror!  I didn't need it though, as it's all about taking inspiration from it, not having to recreate it.  I took my cue from products that were used to create the samples on this page and pulled out my embossing paste, palette knives, masks and all the lovely 201-2021 In colours and got to work.

I killed two birds with one stone, as I had recently been asked to make a wedding card for a bride that doesn't like flowers!!  I don't think leaves count as flowers, do you?  Besides, there is enough sparkle on this card for any bling lover to forgive me if they do!

I used the mask in two ways.  I sponged Seaside Spray ink randomly over my white card base before laying the polka dot mask down and sponging again, leaving random dots everywhere!  After that, I used a palette knife to spread Shimmer Embossing paste through parts of the mask again.  That is so hard to photograph, but it is lovely and sparkly!  Then I threw a whole heap of sequins at it too!

The Colourful Seasons stamp set and coordinating dies brought the rest of my card together in snap.  Not only does this fit the challenge brief, but I now have my wedding card order filled too. Win-win!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!
