Welcome to the September Fancy Friday blog hop.  If this is your first visit to our hop, g'day!  We are a group of past and present Stampin' Up! Artisans who love to craft together once a month and bring you plenty of inspiration.

There are so many beautiful floral stamp sets in our current catalogues that it was hard to choose a favourite!  I recently saw a technique, Dry Embossed Vellum, by the wonderful Jennifer McGuire, and I knew the Floral Essence Stamp set would be perfect for this technique.

I learnt a few tricks from Jennifer when using this technique that help keep the Vellum flat, the ink from smudging and how to hide any adhesive!  I won't share her tips, just visit her website and watch her video here.  The vellum gives such a soft look to the project, perfect for a floral masterpiece!  This wasn't a quick card, as you do need to take care not to puncture the vellum when working with it, but I do love the white outline look you get on a solid stamped image!  To score my vellum, I used the scoring stylus attachment on my Take Your Pick tool!  Brilliant.

You can also trace outline stamps as I did with the leaves above.  It adds loads of lovely texture!  Your next stop on the Fancy Friday hop is Cathy Caines and I am excited to see what she chose as her favourite floral!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!
