MAGNOLIA SHADOW BOX - CREATING KINDNESS BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Creating Kindness blog hop!  We are delighted to have the wonderfully talented Heike Hulle-Bolze join us this month as we take a look at Shadow Box cards.  I used this opportunity to play with a new Stampin' Up! stamp which will be available June 4th in the 2019-2020 catalogue.  This shadow box was the perfect way to frame and showcase the utterly gorgeous Good Morning Magnolia stamp.

To make the shadow box card I followed a great little tutorial by Dawn Griffith which you can see HERE.  I did alter it slightly to fit metric measurements.  The beauty of these cards is that they are like a little theatre, but they still fold flat for easy postage.

I sponged my background card in Petal Pink and Pear Pizzaz inks and coloured my Magnolia images using Stampin' Blends before cutting them out with the coordinating Magnolia Memory dies.  The large Magnolia was adhered directly to the card background but I popped the Magnolia bud and leaf up on dimensionals to create a more 3D picture.

This was such a fun card to make and I can't wait to see what the rest of the team have made.  Click on the button below to go visit with my hugely talented friend, Jay Soriano!
