Well hello there and welcome to the March Creating Kindness Blog Hop. This month we are going all metallic on you and we are also joined by guest designer, and my former Artisan teammate, Sylwia Schreck. We are so lucky to have her playing along with us! The team have come up with so many ways to add "a touch of metal" to your projects.
Did you know that you can heat emboss on tins and other non porous surfaces and not just cards? The tin being my touch of metal!
The Stampin' Up! Copper Tea Tins are the perfect size for a gift of chocolate and I used the chocolate stamp from the Sweetest Thing stamp set to decorate my tin. Click the video below to see how I have created it. Watch it on YouTube and take the video hop as well! If you like what you see, give it the thumbs up and subscribe to my channel so you don't miss a thing!
No gift is complete without a card. I carried the same theme over and added my "touch of metal" by using a strip of Copper Foil Sheet across my card. I love that the Tea Room ribbon also has a touch of metal threaded through it!
I thought this month might be a bit of a challenge for me but I have ended up being able to use quite a few metallic items on two very simple projects!
Next up on the hop is my lovely team mate, Sara Levin, in the US. I wonder what her "touch of metal" will be?

DeleteGreat card Paula - love the beautiful simplicity! Kelly x
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly! Yes, I decided to not throw the whole catalogue at it for a change!
DeleteAnother great video and idea, thank you for sharing, don't suppose you can tell me where you get those chocolates from, I can see the brand is a Whitakers but have certainly never seen before.
ReplyDeleteI got them from the Warehouse around Christmas time (yes, they have lasted in my house that long!). They are called the Artisan Squares Collection. Such a great size!
DeleteSuch an awesome idea! I love how the tin matches the foil on the candy wrappers. Such great attention to detail! You rock!
ReplyDeleteThat is just such a sweet gift Paula. I love the EE embossed chockies! Look good enough to eat!
ReplyDeleteCute! From the border on your card to your tin -- such a great way to use this set. And the pop of Coastal Cabana is the perfect accent!
ReplyDeleteLove your tin and card Paula!!
