BALLOONS, BALLOONS & MORE BALLOONS - #tgifc205

What better way to end March than with a Balloon party and that's just what we are doing this week at TGIF!!  I hope you will join in and share your project design with us.  Just click on the banner below to come join in the fun!  You might even be out next top pick!

I reached for a stamp set that has been with us for a couple of years, Balloon Celebration, which was not only perfect for this theme but also hadn't seen a lot of love from me for aaaaages!  This two step stamp set made stamping all my balloons quick and easy!  I know it doesn't look like there are that many here but.....

When you open the card, there are heaps inside!  This trifold card was designed for the first birthday of my great-niece and the sentiments in the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set, from the Occasions Catalogue, were just perfect for this card!

The card is bright and colourful with just one balloon on the inside for our big 1 year old sweetie!  I hope you will feel inspired enough to join in our balloon fun this week at #tgifc205!

CASEING THE CATTY - FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP

Happy Fancy Friday!  The team and I are CASEing the Catalogue this month.  If this is your first time joining us, welcome!  We are a group of past and present Artisans who love to craft together and bring you inspiration on the last Friday of every month.

The project I have CASEd (Copy and Selectively Edit) can be found on page 23 of the Occasions Catalogue.

I like the whole layout and composition of the gingham card, it's clean lines and lovely layers are so my style, so I brought all of those same design elements to my card.  I also liked that they had stamped on the background DSP, something I never think to do, so copied that element as well.  That's where the similarities end.

I needed to use the Nine Lives stamp set as I don't think it has seen any inky love yet, and I am a cat lover!  How have I NOT used this yet?!!  I used my Watercolor Pencils to colour my Blue Point Birman, but didn't add any water.  I love that I can use these pencils either way!  More bang for your buck.  I think this card is going to have to go to my Mum.  She's another cat lover and I know she will be tickled pink!

I love CASEing the catalogue as there is so much inspiration in that one book!  Speaking of inspiration, the multi talented Cathy Caines is up next in the hop.  That girl always blows my mind with her awesome creations!

OUT OF THIS WORLD - #tgifc203

It's Friday and you know what that means?!!  A brand new TGIF Challenge!  #tgifc203 is simply out of this world!

I had fun with this challenge by getting super inky!  Using Watercolour paper, an Aqua Painter and a few reinkers, I went to town and got lots of colour splashed down before covering it all back up again with Night of Navy ink!  It really did look like a hot mess until I added the white watercolour paint splatters and then it turned into a night sky!  This is also known as the Galaxy Technique.

This card is inspired by my daughter who sets goals and achieves them.  Dreams a dream and makes it a reality.  I love her fearlessness in doing things regardless of what might stand in her way, hence the sentiment on this card.  She is the fearless Lion and I am the protective Mama Bear!

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge.  You can upload your creations on the TGIF page HERE.
