LOVELY LATTICE SAB - #tgifc199

The TGIF Team have a great challenge for you for #tgifc199 - showcase your favourite Sale-A-Bration product - and we would love it if you shared it with us too!   Just click on the picture below to head on over to our blog to upload your project photo.

When I first saw the Lovely Lattice stamp set it was just begging to be watercoloured.  This lovely stamp set is a FREE choice when you purchase $110 NZD in Stampin' Up! products.  Just click the Shopping Cart button at the top of my blog to get started.

I first stamped my Shimmery White Card in Versamark ink before heat setting with Gold Embossing Powder.  This is a great way to keep colour inside the lines if watercolouring scares you!  I then really diluted my ink colours a lot before coloring around the outside of my image.  I wanted a really soft and dreamy look to the background.

Once that was dry (you can speed that up with your Heat Tool), I then coloured in the gorgeous floral images with more intense ink colours, using less water.  If you want your colours to mix, then add them one after the other while they are still wet.  If you want a more separated look, apply one colour at time, drying in between.  That is how I got the distinct separation between my yellows and reds.
I then used just a portion of the same colouring techniques on the inside of my card as well.

So what is your favourite SAB product?  SAB still has another month and a half to run and starting today, we now have even more product choices with the 2nd Release going live.  Exciting!!
I hope this inspires you to create with your SAB products!  Visit the TGIF blog to share with us!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!
