FRIENDS LIKE YOU - #tgifc197

The TGIF Team are back this week with a fun, bright colour challenge #tgifc197 which, I might add, really put me to the test as I am a Neutrals/Regals kinda gal normally!

I am not a huge lover of Yellow, especially really bright Yellow's like Pineapple Punch.  Still, I found a way to tone it down a bit.........by watercolouring and mixing my own colours from this palette.

I broke out my Postcard Pals stamp set, cause I love these super cute images and have hardly used it!  It lends itself to watercolour beautifully.  The only other colour I added to my card was Crumb Cake, otherwise I was true to the challenge.

The sentiment is from a great Sale-A-Bration (SAB) set called "Part of my Story" and is a FREE SAB selection when you spend $110 NZD.  Just click the Shopping Cart button (top of my sidebar) to get started.  This read "let's get together.............& giggle", which I stamped on the inside of my card.

To break up all the white space I had going on, I used the gorgeous new Rectangle Stitched Framelits around the outside of my card, but also to cut out a frame around my coloured image.

I hope you feel inspired to give this great colour challenge a try with your own design.  You can upload your card for us to see at TGIFC197 and you might just get picked as our winner for the week!  Good Luck!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!
