BUTTERFLY GALA - #tgifc193

Happy New Year to you all!  With the new year comes exciting new things for me and one of them was being invited to join the amazing TGIF team of designers!  I am delighted to bring you my first design for this awesome challenge site today!

I love a good colour challenge and this one features a classic combination of green, pink and grey.  Now that the Occasions catalogue is live, I had a whole heap of new product to choose from to use! I chose the Butterfly Gala bundle and teamed it with a Sale-A-Bration freebie - Botanical Butterfly DSP.  You can earn this DSP for FREE when you purchase current Stampin' Up! products to the value of $110 NZD from me.

I chose this DSP because one side of every sheet is black and white and you can add any colour to make it suit your projects.  I sponged Melon Mambo ink over top of one sheet for a nice bright pop of colour.
I was inspired to use a card map designed by my good friend Teneale Williams.  I love the balance of all the elements and the bold focal point of the circle.  My project turned out even better than I had imagined it!

Have you got a project percolating in your head using these colours as well?  We would love you to share you project with us.  Head over to #tgifc193 and join in the fun!

If you want the supplies to recreate my project, I would be delighted to be your demonstrator.  Click on the pictures below to shop my New Zealand store 24/7!

  1. Hi Paula, Really nice card. I have a question about a previous card you made using 60 candles. Did you cut each of the candles out to stack or how did you do this? My brother is turning 74 this month and I would love to CASE this card for him. Also, how did you stamp the white on the black cardstock? Sorry to put this in with todays card, but I did not know how to contact you. If you can respond back, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your inspiration.
