BOHO CHIC - FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Fancy Friday blog hop for September.  If this is your first visit to our hop, we are a group of past and present Stampin' Up! Artisans who love to craft together and bring you inspiration each month.

And this month is a doozy!  Susan Wong set us a colour challenge of Mango Melody, Powder Pink, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, White and Rich Razzleberry.  We didn't have to use all the colours if we didn't want to, but I like a challenge and the inspiration photo did it for me.  One of the team mentioned how "Boho" it felt.  So I ran with that!  What is Boho?  One definition is a melting pot of colour, texture and pattern.  I think I managed to achieve all those things on this wee card!

The trick to using lots of colours in a challenge (and ones I wouldn't necessarily put together anyway!) is to make two or three the stars of your project and using only a little of all the others.  The Country Home stamp set was perfect for this!  I went one step further by mixing Mango Melody and Pacific Point together to create the green for the leaves in the jug.

Next up on the hop is my delightful friend Cathy Caines.  I seriously love everything this girl does!

FROSTED CELEBRATIONS

I wasn't really expecting to find a suite of products in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue quite like the Frosted Floral suite!  This suite is so beautifully designed, from the lovely watercolour look of the stamps to the sweet shimmer of the Designer Series Paper.

This card came together quickly and I let the images and DSP really be the stars of the show without overwhelming it with fussy embellishments, although I did add just a touch of bling with three Frosted Epoxy Droplets. That was all.

Except...........I coloured them with the new Soft Suede Dark Stampin' Blend marker, to go with the base DSP.  As I do.  Cause I just can't leave things alone.  But hey!  No ribbon or twine, so I did show some restraint!

PEACEFUL NOEL - STAMP TO SHARE BLOG HOP

Welcome back to the Stamp to Share Blog Hop.  We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love to come together to create awesome projects with the fabulous bundles of product featured in our current catalogues, and inspire you to do the same!

This month we feature the beautiful Peaceful Noel Bundle from the 2018 Holiday catalogue, which went live just a week ago!  This two step stamp set gives so many options for your projects, from lovely watercolour-like images, line art images you can colour, a great mix of sentiments and DIY wreath stamps!  And for you punch lovers out there, the Sprig punch!

It turns out my project was a little difficult to photograph!  I really wish you could see it in person, as it has a beautiful shimmer to the whole card front.  I have used Champagne Foil Sheets as mats and to punch some sprigs from, so there is the lovely soft shine from that as well.

I think it is elegantly rustic with the Buffalo Check and gorgeous Braided Linen Trim.  The Buffalo Check was first stamped in Gray Granite ink, moved just a fraction and then stamped again with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  I used my Stamparatus to do that.  I then finished the whole card off with the beautiful Frosted Epoxy Droplets.

Next up on the hop is my friend, the wonderfully talented Rochelle Blok in Australia!
