COLOUR REFRESH - FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP

We are a group of past and present Artisan Design team mates who love crafting together.  Each month we bring you a new challenge.  It is only appropriate then, since we have a brand new Stampin' Up! catalogue, that we have a colour refresh challenge in June!

With so many wonderful new colours to chose from, it was pretty hard to narrow it down.  But my choice of stamp set, the gorgeous Healing Hugs, helped a lot!  This beautiful rose image looks divine in Lovely Lipstick and the leaves allowed me to break out the Granny Apple Green!  Dare I say, it may be my new favourite green?

I love how these three colours came together on my card so much that I made another in a different colour way and filmed a video to show you how I created it.

If you enjoyed watching my creative process, I would love it if you subscribe to my YouTube channel.  It might just encourage me to make more!

Next up on the hop is the wonderful Marisa Gunn.  I wonder what colours Marisa chose to play with?  Click the next button below to find out!

ANIMAL OUTING

The Animal Outing stamp set is perfect for colouring with Stampin Blends.  For these projects I used both the Note Cards & Envelopes and Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes.  These handy packs make creating quick cards a doddle!

My Giraffe card is made using the Narrow Note Cards.  I used my Crumb Cake Blend marker to dot a wee border around the outside just to break up the white space.  I wanted my envelope to coordinate with the card.  What better way than to put giraffe print on the flap!  To do this, I created a mask out of Vellum card using the Animal Friends Thinlit dies.   I sponged Daffodil Delight ink all over the flap, then I sponged Crumb Cake ink through the vellum mask to make the giraffe spots!

How cute is this Hippo, ahem, Rhino?!!  I used the Note Cards & Envelopes to create this little guy.  A little background sponging was done before I added my fussy cut Hippo over the top with Dimensionals.  I actually didn't have the Animal Friends Thinlts when I created this card, but he was easy enough to cut around that it didn't matter.

Did you know that if you live in New Zealand, you can purchase all the products I have used to create these cute Note Cards through me?  Just click on any one of the product pictures below to check out my online store!  Your first purchase will see you receive an invitation to my exclusive VIP Facebook group.  Every purchase will get a personal thank you in the mail!  Use the current Host Code, A4HHNRYP, and get even more rewards!  I would love to be your Stampin' Up! VARIED VASES - STAMP TO SHARE BLOG HOP

And another month rolls around for the Stamp to Share Design Team.......where is this year going?!!  On the bright side, we are hopping with brand new bundles now the 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue is live!  If you live in New Zealand and don't have a catalogue yet, I would love to get one in your hands!  Just click "Contact Me", or you can download a copy right now by clicking the catalogue picture on the right hand side bar.

This month we are focusing on the Varied Vases bundle, which carries a punch instead of dies, for all you punch lovers out there.  I have used a great card layout by my good friend, Jacque Williams.  A few extra folds and lots more layers than I normally use, but I love how it turned out.

Can you see all the lovely texture and stitching on this card?  I have used a new die set called Stitched Labels Framelits.  On the bottom white layer, I used the new Big Shot Embossing Mat to emboss with my framelit rather than cut.  LOVE it and the fact I can get more than one use out of the framelit!

I used the fabulous running stitch around the outside of the top mat to frame my Orchid, vases and sentiment.  I am just rather a little excited about this die!

The colour scheme of my card was kept quite simple to show off the two new colours I have used on it - Gray Granite and Highland Heather.  I think this is going to be a new favourite combination of mine!

Now it gives me great please to send you on to my lovely friend Amy Koenders in the US.  I can't wait to see what she has created using this lovely bundle!
