TRANQUIL TIDE RESIST - TOTALLY TECHNIQUES BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Totally Techniques blog hop for April.  This month our theme is Emboss Resist chosen by Zoe Tant.  This has to be one of my most favourite techniques and probably one of the first I ever learned when I began card making all those years ago!
I went a little left field on this card in a few of ways.  One, I used only words to demonstrate this technique.  Two, it is my first Christmas card for the year and it is only April! Three, I used very little in the way of embellishment.

This is the process I used to create my Emboss Resist card:
1.  I used my Stamparatus (available 1st of June!) to stamp the sentiment perfectly all the way down the front of my card in Versamark ink.
2. I sprinkled the sentiment with clear embossing powder and then heat set it.
3.  Using a Sponge Brayer, I create an ombre look to the card by inking first Pool Party, then Bermuda Bay up into Tranquil Tide at the top of my Whisper White card front.
The magic happens when the heat embossed sentiments resist the ink you have just rolled and stay white!

A very simple Christmas card with it's lovely message as it's feature.  Next up on the hop is my super talented friend Annette!

CASE THE OCCASIONS CATTY! - FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Fancy Friday blog hop!  We are a group of past and present Artisans who loved working together so much, we just can't stop!  Each month we bring you inspiration in the form of themes, and this month, it is CASEing the Occasions Catalogue.

I decided on the Petal Palette suite of products and a mash up of some of the projects from page 22 of the catalogue.  It's a pretty busy card for me, but I am happy with how it turned out.  This suite has become a favourite of mine and thankfully, it will be around for at least another year!

I even used some vellum as an embellishment!  Hope you were sitting down then.  CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) is a great way of trying new things and adding to your card making repertoire!

Next up on the hop is my amazingly talented friend, Krista.

STAMPARATUS BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Stamparatus International Blog Hop!  We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who have come together to inspire you with Stampin' Up!'s fabulous new stamp placement system - the Stamparatus!

I love that I am now able to place my stamps exactly where I want them on my project.  Not only does the Stamparatus make lining up images in two and three step stamp sets so easy, it also allows for so many fabulous techniques.  I am stamping a rainbow with just one stamp!  I can be certain, that no matter how many times I stamp this image, it will be in the same place EVERY single time!

Rather than tell you how I created this, I will show you!  I have created a video for your viewing pleasure.  Be gentle, I am still finding my feet with this videoing lark!

The Stamparatus will be available for purchase on June 1st!  This amazing tool is a "must have", in my humble opinion, and has changed the way I stamp for the better.  If you live in New Zealand, you can order from my Online Store your very own Stamparatus come June 1st!

I have showed you just one way to use the Stamparatus, but there are nineteen more reasons to visit each designer in this hop!  Next up to "wow" you is the delightful Rachel Tessman.
