CRINKLED BACKGROUND - TOTALLY TECHNIQUES BLOG HOP

Hi Everyone!  It's time again for this month's Totally Techniques Design Team to "wow" you with another technique.  This month was Annette's choice - Crinkled Background.

Here's a quick "how to":
1.  Spritz your cardstock with water.
2.  Screw up your cardstock, unfold and leave to dry.
3.  Rub an ink pad or sponge ink over the dry, crinkled cardstock.

This technique is very liberating if you are anything like me and don't normally crinkle anything!

It is really well suited to grunge or shabby chic type cards, which I don't normally do!  It was a little bit of a challenge for me!  But I am really happy with the outcome - gold, woodgrain, lace and crinkled card actually work beautifully together!  Hope you like it too.

Make sure you stop by all the designers in this hop and leave a little love.  Next up is the incredible Barbara Meyer!

PAPER PERFECT - FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP

My Fancy friends and I have come together again to bring you another fun blog hop.  This month we are featuring some of the many wonderful packs of Designer Series Paper Stampin' Up! have to offer in their Occasions catalogue.  It was hard to choose just one!

In the end, I went with the Tutti Frutti Paper Pack because I had already had it out on my desk.  Besides, these colours just make me happy!  I chose the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set to pair with it because one of the stamps almost matched the pattern in the paper piece I chose to use. I used it to do little tone on tone stamping on the bulk of my card front.

This paper is so bright and fun, I used it to decorate the back flap on my envelope too.  I like matchy-matchy!  This DSP is only 6" wide though, so to cover the flap, which is wider, I did have to turn it slightly on the diagonal to cover the whole flap.  I then just traced around the outside of the flap, cut the DSP, then adhered it to the outside.  Instant "WOW"!

I wonder which Designer Series Paper pack my lovely friend Cindy Schuster has chosen to showcase for us?!

CELEBRATE YOU - STAMP TO SHARE BLOG HOP

Have you been loving the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration offering this year?  The Stamp to Share Design Team are featuring, not one, but TWO SAB products this month;  the gorgeous Amazing You Stamp Set and the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies.  Good news too, the thinlit dies will be carrying over into the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue!

I honestly couldn't decide on a project this month.  So many great ideas were buzzing round in my head!  In the end, I went with a rainbow of colour!  You just have to, right?  I adore the sunburst image in this stamp set, so with a little heat embossing, sponging and tone on tone stamping, my card came together!  I mixed up my sentiments too, just for a bit of fun.  I layered the die cut "you" four times, then heat embossed and cut the next two words before finishing with good old fashioned stamping.  I love how they come together on the card.

Next up on this months hop is my good friend, Rochelle Blok!
