SHARING THE JOY - STAMPIN' UP! ARTISAN BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan blog hop.  You have probably just arrived from Miriam van Eyden's beautiful blog.  I just love everything Miriam makes!  If you are just starting here, hit the "Next" button at the end of this post to continue on the hop.  You won't want to miss a thing!

In this hop, the Artisans are featuring Stampin’ Up!’s new premier alcohol markers! Stampin’ Blends are high-quality, dual-tip markers that come in 12 of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive colors, each with a light and dark shade. Maybe you don’t think of yourself as an artist, but you don’t need to be!  These markers make it so easy to blend colors and create gorgeous works of art!

I have used Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette and Night of Navy to create my wee work of art with the Ready for Christmas Bundle.  I wanted something sweet and playful and had this image in my head of a cute little doggie using presents as a staircase to get at the cookies!  Naughty doggie!

Coloring these images was a dream using the Blends.  Honestly, they practically blend themselves and having a dark and light in each colour takes all the guess work out of which to use and when.  The dual tips give you choice too.  Use the brush tip for large, sweeping strokes and lots of colour over a big area, or the marker tip for finer, more controlled colour over a smaller area.

Next up on the hop is m good friend and wonderfully talented Rochelle Blok in Australia.  Hit the big button below to visit with her next!
