Welcome to the Stamp to Share International Design Team Blog Hop! You have probably just arrived here from the amazingly talented Sandi MacIver.  Make sure you continue on the hop by selecting the Next button at the bottom of this post.  You don't want to miss a thing!

Stamp to Share is a monthly blog hop featuring nine designers from around the world.  Once every month we will each feature two projects showcasing one Bundle of Stampin' Up! product to inspire you.  This month (and next month) we are doing things a little different as we transition from a retiring catalogue to a new one.  Exciting times!

This month we are featuring a Balloon/Birthday theme.  I made my projects really early, to be prepared, with the Balloon Adventures Bundle!  Initially I saw it as a bundle suited to a child and not having any littlies around myself, never gave it a second glance.  How wrong I was!

My darling MIL celebrated her 92nd birthday at the beginning of the month, so I made the decision to use this bundle for her card.  I teamed it up with the Party Animal DSP and chose her favourite colour, green, as my starting point.  I think I have managed to achieve a fun birthday card suited to an older person.  The gold foil of the balloon, the gold embossed sentiment and the gold detail in the Washi Tape lend elegance and a feminine touch!  I also gold embossed the sentiment on the inside and made it nice and bold.  92 years on this earth is quite an achievement, after all!

My second project is a fun little pocket card, again featuring a great DSP, Pop of Pink.  I adore this bold stripe and used it to make my own Mini Treat Bag to hold my card.

The Balloon Adventures stamp set has fantastic fonts that really scream "celebration" and I used these to create a fun stylie tag for the front of my bag.  Once again, I chose to use gold elements to add a bit of pizzazz as it works really well with the hot pink - Melon Mambo!  The Balloon Adventure stamp set features fantastic images and the Balloon Pop Up Thinlit Dies are the same.  Not only does it have great balloon dies and a pop up element, but there are a couple of dies that make great present toppers too.

I have used the largest "present" or bow die to create my tag topper.  It gives you something to pull to help slide the card from the bag, but it also looks really pretty!

I hope I have given you a little food for thought if you are like me and don't have any kiddies to create for.  This bundle is so versatile that it can be used to celebrate anyone!
