BEST. GUY. EVER

I think this must be the first post I have done in such a long time that isn't actually part of a blog hop or challenge!  I forgot what it was like to not have lots of stamping friends join in with me one way or another in a post, lol.  I can hear an echo in here!

I couldn't sleep.  Surprise.  Story of mylife at the moment.  Normally I toss and turn until I finally go back to sleep exhausted!  Not this time.  I decided to get up and make a card instead.  As you do.

I am really glad I didn't go back to sleep as this was the result of my early morning crafting!  I love it and hope my sweetie will too when I give it to him for his birthday.  Which isn't til June. I just hope I don't forget where I put it!

The Urban Underground suite of products makes creating awesome masculine projects a doddle!  This card came together so quickly.  I love the bold designs of the designer paper and the gorgeous colours too, even though I chose to keep this really neutral.  The stamp set is a handyman's dream, with great tool images to choose from and some fun sentiments as well.  And just look at those fabulous metal embellishments!

The only colour I used on this card was Old Olive for the big bold sentiment inside my card and I used a blender pen to add subtle colour on the tools.  I need to use this suite more!  It really is perfect for the men in our lives. If you haven't got this suite of products yet, then what are you waiting for?  just click on the products below to start shopping!

SUPERMAN ESCAPE GDP#079

Now I know the whole idea of a challenge site is to challenge - right?!  Well, let me tell you, Global Design Project have a beauty for you this week!

As soon as I saw this, I thought of the Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Paper Stack and the Carousel Birthday stamp set.  But me being me, decided that was too obvious to use and went back to the drawing board.

I have photo's of family holidays and events that still have not made it into albums and I came across this one when hunting for ideas.  This was taken at Movie World on a roller coaster called the Superman Escape in 2008.  Yes, NINE years ago.  Better later than never though, right?

I am terribly afraid of flying but I LOVE thrill rides.  My daughter and I rode this coaster five times in a row until we got the perfect shot.  She is looking pretty chill, don't you think?!

I used a combination of Stampin' Up!'s Project Life cards, stamps and embellishments and made my own card fillers too.  I used the fabulous set "Everyday Hero" to create my fun cards.  I feel like this stamp set was just made for this page!

So I think I managed to fill the challenge brief really well while not making a card for a change!  Lucky for me I had the perfect subject matter.

I hope you can join us this week at Global Design Project as we challenge you to an Amusement Park theme!  Don't forget to upload and share your project with everyone!

BASKET BUNCH EASTER - STAMPIN' UP! ARTISAN BLOG HOP

Welcome to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog hop.  You have probably just arrived here from the super clever Miriam van Eyden.  Her projects always leave me feeling absolutely inspired.  If you are starting here, make sure you hit the Next button at the end of my post so you don't miss a single, awesome project on the hop. I have a couple of projects that I hope will inspire you too, featuring the gorgeous and super cute Basket Bunch stamp set.

This sweet set is perfect for any age, with a fun mix of sentiments and line art images, which also makes it perfect for colouring enthusiasts such as myself!

I have broken out my trusty sponges again to create the background behind my cut out window before stamping with a grass stamp in the set for my bunny to stand on - how ca-ute!

I used the same technique and grass stamp to create my box lid topper and then used the gorgeous Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut it out.  Look at the stitching detail!  The Stitched Shapes framelits are a must have in your crafting arsenal as far as I am concerned!  I used the Layering Squares Framelits for the scallop detail beneath.  These dies work so well together!

Basket Bunch has fast become a favourite stamp set of mine for Easter this year and I have created quite a few projects with it already.  I love the mix of fun images and sentiments.  It also has a coordinating set of Framelits - Basket Builder - which is offered in a bundle saving you 10%.  My favourite die in the whole set has to be the grass which I used along the bottom of my Clear Tiny Treat Box.

If you don't like fussy cutting then you will be pleased to know there is a die for all the eggs and the bunny too!  These tiny treat boxes are the perfect size for a small gift of chocolate, and you can see what's in them even after decorating!

Next up on the hop is Rochelle Blok.  Her gorgeous projects are always so beautiful!
