HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome back to another exciting year of challenges with
Global Design Project. We start 2017 off with a cracker - CASE the Designer - with
Jess Williams. CASE in GDP speak, means to "Copy And Selectively Edit".
I took Jess's layout and teamed it with a new stamp set, Moon Baby. This little set is already becoming a favourite of mine. It is absolutely perfect for colouring.
I used the moon image in place of the balloons, with a slight overhang as Jess has done on her card and I used the new Watercolor Pencils to colour. After stamping on Shimmery White card and colouring with the pencils, I then used an Aqua Painter to move the colour around and give the background a painterly look.
I stamped an extra moon and baby, again on Shimmery White, coloured and then fussy cut the image out. I layered this on dimensionals and adhered over the top of the card. I also carried the theme and colouring to the inside of my card. It's the whole package for me when card making!
I think I have probably found another favourite card layout. The stamps and Watercolor Pencils are available in just two more days when the Occasions and SAB catalogues go live! Not long to go now before you can get your hands on these fab new products too.
