What a great theme we have for you at Global Design Project this week. It would have to be my favourite theme so far, as it lends itself to the sponged cards I love to create.
I went a little left field with this card, as I tried a little trick on the eye by creating a "frame" in part of the picture and placing the left hand plant partly in and out of it. The bottom left hand leaf is cut off by the hard line of the frame and appears to be behind the edge, while the top leaf appears over top of the frame.
I have also only used two greens on this card - Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron. By blending them together in various places, I have managed to create quite a depth of colour. I am sure going to miss Mossy Meadow when it retires at the end of May!
I continued my theme to the inside of my card, less the trick on the eyes, to finish the whole project.
I hope you join in this week too and pay homage to Mother Nature with us. Visit the Global Design Project site to view the amazing projects the rest of the design team have created for your viewing pleasure!
