FOR THE NEW TWO

My husband and I (no relation to the Queen, lol) are attending a wedding this weekend and I want to share the card I made for the happy couple.

I wanted something really romantic and took colour inspiration from the invitation we received a few months ago.  I also took inspiration from my good friend Teneale Williams, who is the queen of lovely layers, ribbons and bows.  I used lots of shiny in the way of gold embossing and Shimmery White card, which also echoed the invitation.  I wrapped the ribbon around the card three times, and I think it looks like a cummerbund that grooms sometimes wear.

I then carried the theme to the inside of the card to complete the first wedding card I think I have ever made for me to personally give!

BLENDED KINGFISHER

I am determined to make sure all my new SAB stamps see ink in one form or another over the next three months!  I had the perfect opportunity to use the Kingfisher image with my Blendies the other day - I needed a quick birthday card!

One of my biggest loves is to colour an image.  The SU Blendabilites are my new best friends - I just love them so much!  I find using them quick, but I can get so much detail in too.

I used quite a few different colours on the bird, I will list them all in the product list below, along with my favourite Blendie of all - the Colour Lifter.  That is how I have managed to get the texture you can see on his chest.

Watch this Stampin' Up! Blendabilities video to see one way of blending your markers and also what the colour lifter does!

SPRING LOTUS

Just look at how real and dimensional this Lotus flower looks!  It is a THREE step stamp that you can have absolutely free with a qualifying Sale-a-bration order.  The background has been embossed with the Spring Flowers Textured embossing folder, which also brings a lot of dimension to an otherwise plain card.  I finished it with Painted Blooms cotton twine and basic rhinestones.

To see the Lotus stamp set in action you can watch the short Stampin' Up! video below.

Of course, everything I have used on this card can be bought through me!  Just click on any of the items below to be taken to my online store!  Don't forget to download your copy of my Frequent Buyer's Rewards tracking sheet too.

HERD IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY

From the Herd is one of the sweetest stamp sets in the new Occasions Catalogue, and up until today, I haven't had a chance to play with it!  With the Levin AP&I show this weekend, I figured there would be a lot of people there that would love this set too - being farmers and all!

So I got out my Blendabilities again.  I love colouring images in.  What can I say?

I didn't colour the inside though.  I think it looks pretty cool left "naked".

I used a variety of Blendies colours to mix and match and blend to get the colours I wanted, especially on the buffalo.  I used a mix of the Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake packs for his fur.
I used my Colour Lifter to add texture to the Llama's fur too.  I even mixed and matched the sentiment panel by using parts of the other sentiments to get it to read "Herd it's your Birthday".

I hope you will come down to the Levin Showgrounds for the Levin AP&I Show this Wellington Anniversary weekend.  I will be there all Saturday and Sunday with lots of samples for you to see, plus a few items for sale!  Come and say hello if you drop by!

BLENDED EASTER

I know Easter is a long way off yet, but it pays to get organised early, right?  When I first saw the Indescribable Gift stamp set in the Occasions catalogue, I knew the flowers would be just perfect for so many different techniques.  I run a monthly Techniques Club in Upper Hutt, Levin and Wanganui and love sets that have numerous technique possibilities, like this one.

This card was all about Blendabilities.  In case you haven't guessed by now, I LOVE these alcohol markers!  I was able to get such a soft colour on this card by blending and leeching out the colours with my Colour Lifter pen.

Apart from the sentiment on the front of the card, I kept the words and embellishment distraction to a minimum.  It really was all about the flowers!

I still have spaces available at all three Techniques Club.  Depending where you live, you are most welcome to join in.  Just email ME for more information or check my Events Calendar for dates, times and cost information.  I would love to have you join us!

COASTAL CABANA CLEAN & SIMPLE

When I am short for time, I love making clean and simple (CAS) cards.  I must admit to finding these fairly hard to do.  I find it hard to just STOP!  Naturally I want to add more.  So it does me good, now and again, to practice CAS cards.

I love the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) stamp selection this year.  Every set is fabulous.  The Big Day set is perfect for Birthdays!  All I had to do was stamp and colour with my Blendabilities.  I heat embossed the sentiment on the black panel with white embossing powder and added a Coastal Cabana ribbon to finish off the card.

This is just one of the sets you can choose from, absolutely free, when you place a qualifying SAB order of $110, from either current Stampin' Up! catalogue.  Place your qualifying order with me during January and receive a bonus point on my Frequent Buyer Rewards program!

No more waiting!  Today is the day the new 2015 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogues go live!

The Occasions catalogue has everything you need for well, any occasion!  Be it Birthday, Easter, or Valentines, just to name a few, there is something in there for everyone.  Click the picture to download your PDF copy!  Your wishlist is sure to grow just that little bit longer with this, my personal favourite mini catalogue to date.

So it seems only right that you get a little bit more bang for your buck, with FREE product!  The 2015 Sale-A-Bration catalogue goes live today too!

Order $110 NZD from the Occasions or main Stampin' Up! Catalogue and you choose one FREE SAB item.  Spend $220 and choose two.  There are no limits!  For every $110 increment you get another free product choice!  This year there is more choice than ever before!

Here is a wee sample I have created using product from both catalogues.

The sunburst was made using the Sunburst stencil available in the new Hooray It's Your Day Simply Created kit on page 16 of the Occasions catalogue.  The ribbon used is an embellishment choice from the SAB catalogue, as is the stamped image.

When you place a qualifying SAB order ($110 NZD) with me in January (either online or by contacting me directly) you will also qualify for a BONUS POINT with the introduction of my Frequent Buyer Rewards program.  For example, an order of $110 will earn you one free SAB item, two Frequent Buyer Rewards points and a bonus reward point on top of that, setting you on your way to earning more free product.  Got to love that!  Make sure you download your Tracking Sheet today!
