BOKEH EFFECT CHRISTMAS CARD

I recently taught this card at the Great Welly Paper Caper 2014 stamp camp in Silverstream.  This is an annual camp that I run with my good friend and fellow demonstrator, Sharlene Meyer.  Just so you know, we are doing it all again Oct 16-18, 2015.  Mark your diaries!

Anyway, the Bokeh technique is not new to me, as it is popping up all over the internet, but it is a real favourite of mine!  I enjoyed showing our camp ladies how to achieve this soft, out of focus look on a card.  A bonus of attending the camp is the exclusive tutorials you get, this card being one of them.  You can see another sample of mine HERE.

The Bokeh technique is very easy to achieve.  This is how I do it:

1.  Sponge colours of choice on Whisper White cardstock.
2.  Punch two or three sizes of circles from a Window Sheet.
3.  Using a sponge or dauber, apply White craft ink through the circle mask you have just punched.

Take care no to smudge the white ink as it takes some time to dry.  I also used the tip of the dauber to apply ink in a more concentrated area.
