Have you done a colour challenge lately? Join us at Just Add Ink this week for a colour challenge I found quite hard! The Design team really had to put their thinking caps on for this one too, and we would love to see what you can come up with. Here are the challenge colours:
Quite a combination, don't you think? I decided that keeping it simple was the way to go this week.
Pacific Point and Calypso Coral really screamed sunset over water to me, so I set about with my trusty sponges again. A little masking and a circular punch, bam! A CAS card done in under 10 minutes. Hope you can join us this week!
Stamps: Wetlands, Four You
Card: Shimmery White
Inks: Pacific Point, Calypso Coral, Smokey Slate, Basic Black

RETRO BIRTHDAY FOR SIL
I love making cards for my family, especially when it's a Birthday card. My SIL is a pretty funky Chick and really likes 70's style anything, but especially colours. The Retro Fresh Designer Paper was perfect for her card.
I used the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch to create the latch on this card and tied it closed with the twine from the SAB embellishment pack. Love that twine! Bold colours and patterns need a bold sentiment and the Perfect Pennants stamp set was perfect, excuse the alliteration!
I used so many new items out of the occasions catalogue I could be here forever telling you about them, so check out the recipe below. If you click on each item listed you will be directed to my Online store to find out more about that product. Handy eh?
Stamps: Perfect Pennants, Happy Watercolor, Peachy Keen, Off the Grid
Card: Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron, Pool Party, Very Vanilla
Inks: Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, So Saffron, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories: Big Shot, On Film Framelits, 1/2" Circle Punch, Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Retro Fresh DSP, Essentials Wooden Elements, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals, SAB Embellishment Pack
The SAB Embellishment pack is your FREE with a purchase of $110 from a current SU catalogue, but only until the 31st of March. Take advantage of Sale-A-Bration and place your order with me before the end of the month!

WELCOME SWEET BABY
Oh my, I didn't realise I hadn't posted for a week! Time has just run away with me. Here is a super quick project I whipped up using the Simply Fabulous Simply Sent card kit. Card kits are so handy to have around, especially when you need a card in a hurry, or perhaps, new to card making. This gorgeous kit includes enough product for 8 postcard type cards. The main feature is the lovely lattice die cut postcard.
One of the Just Add Ink Design Team members recently added to her family and this was the card I sent her to welcome the new arrival. I love the Owl family! I coloured each image in with my Stampin' Write Markers and put drew a tartan on the Dad owl, lol. I added a ribbon, which is also included in the kit, around the middle for a bit of "pop". I adhered the die cut with Dimensionals on a card base so I could write the message inside.
Stamps: Baby We've Grown
Card: Soft Sky
Accessories: Simply Fabulous Simply Sent, Staz On Ink, Dimensionals, Stampin' Write Markers for colouring the images

JAI #206 SALE-A-BRATION!
Have you taken advantage of Stampin' Up!'s annual Sale-A-Bration (SAB) giveaways this year? So many of my customers have AND come back for more!
The Just Add Ink challenge this week is to feature items from the SAB catalogue and the Design Team have come up with loads of great ideas!
I chose the gorgeous DSP, Sweet Sorbet, to cover an Espresso Cup that is holding a little sweet treat for someone special. The cup is cute, I know, but it still needed a tag to dress a simple gift up just that little bit more.
I stamped two tag images from the You're Lovely stamp set in Black Staz On ink. This tags fits beautifully inside the smallest Deco Label framelit, which I ran through my Big Shot. I left one tag inside the frame while I gently sponged Soft Sky ink around the outside of the tag, softening the colour as I sponged toward to middle. I cut out the flower images from the remaining tag, popped them up on Dimensionals and added a Basic Rhinestone centre to each to finish. I then layered this on a Black tag, punched a whole and used the Twine from the SAB Sweet Sorbet Accessory pack to tie to the top of my bag.

CUT IT OUT!
Just popping in quickly to show you another use for your framelit dies.
Inspired by a card by Ilina Crouse, I had a play around with a similar design idea, using my Oval Framelits. I chose to cut through the whole card front rather than just a couple of layers. It is a great way to frame your sentiment! I also used the arrow from the Essentials Wooden Elements to further draw your eye. I stamped directly on the arrow in Pool Party ink, sponged around the edge in Baked Brown Sugar ink and topped it off with a Basic Rhinestone, which I coloured using a permanent marker. I stamped the top of my envelope flap in the same coordinating colours on the card front.
Stamps: Peachy Keen
Card: Naturals Ivory, Tangerine Tango, Retro Fresh DSP
Inks: Baked Brown Sugar, Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron
Accessories: Sponge, Oval Framelits, Big Shot, Essential Wooden Elements, Basic Rhinestones

JUST ADD INK #205 - SUNBURSTS
Sunbursts have been on trend for sometime now, so what better challenge this week at Just Add Ink than to showcase them, as Tina has suggested?
Everyone on the DT has come up with very different sunburst ideas. My immediate thought was to use DSP and then I remembered I had some Masking Film sitting in a draw somewhere. The wonderfully talented Danielle Daws has a great video on this product and I followed her video tutorial to create this card. Why reinvent the wheel, right?! I love how this One Layer card turned out. I coloured three Rhinestones with a permanent marker to coordinate with one of the inks I used too.
I hope you feel inspired to join in our Sunburst challenge this week. But before you do, check out what the rest of the team have created HERE.
Stamps: Four You
Cardstock: Whisper White
Inks: Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Crisp Cantaloupe, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Basic Rhinestones

FRESH PRINTS BANNERS
I love exploring different shaped cards and those that move. I have used my Banner Framelits to make these cutie note cards. I folded my card base in half, then lay the Banner Framelit on top, leaving a gap of a few millimeters between the top of the framelit and the fold of my card, and ran it through my Big Shot. This gives the card a top hinge instead of cutting two banners!
I cut another Banner from Whisper White card and inserted a window using the Squares Collection framelits. A touch of DSP, twine and a little stamping and I was done. Of course, I also made my own envelopes to fit using the amazing Envelope Punch Board.
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Petite Petals bundle, Perfect Pennants
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Inks: Real Red, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Fresh Prints DSP Stack, Big Shot, Banner Framelits, Squares Collection Framelits, White Bakers Twine, Dimensionals
