Aptly named "Reason to Smile" this stamp retired in July 2012 and is not available for sale any more, but you could win it for free!  To be eligible for the draw, all you have to do it place an Online Order with ME (email orders count too!) that is not part of a club or workshop between now and April 30th.

Still one more reason to smile - the first person to place an Online order will also win this set too!!  So what are you waiting for!!

This post is in memory of my cousin Linda, who lost her long battle with Breast cancer last week.  An amazing and inspiring woman - you will be sorely missed.

Linda loved my artwork and this one last piece is on it's way to her family.

I am exploring a new concept with my sponged cards now and I hope this is the first of many!  But more about it in another post.

My card wouldn't be complete without the internal artwork as well.  This is my heart in a card.  Love you Linda, RIP xox

Happy 60th Birthday to my very hip SIL!!  Hope you had a wonderful day full of lovely surprises.

I wanted something bright and funky for my SIL's card, since she is definitely not afraid of colour.  But I also wanted feminine.  I used Summer Starfruit and Tangerine Tango for the bright, and Everything Elenor for the feminine.

The whole package is important to me, so I included a small amount of the same artwork on the envelope and also...............

on the inside of the card.

Of course it wouldn't be a card  by me if it wasn't sponged and I have also used spatters of masking fluid on the front of the card.  That technique was inspired by Heather Telford and you can check out her tutorial HERE.  Thanks Heather - I now have a new love!!

I created this card while at the Palmerston North Craft & Quilt Show.  I needed to sit down after being on my feet most of the day!  I may as well be doing something, right?  So, I pulled out some ink and my sponges and got to work.

I couldn't take my craft room to the show so was pretty limited in what I had with me.  But it just goes to show - you don't need to have EVERYTHING to create a work of art.  That goes for the Stampin' Up! catalogue too.  As much as I would like EVERYTHING - I just started off with a few essential items and then slowly added things as I could.
If you need a place to start - why not let me help you?  Just email ME and I can help you get the most out of your first purchases.
