It is funny where we can gain inspiration from for our artwork. I have had a collectors tin in my kitchen for a few years and every time I look at it, I knew I wanted to recreate the background somehow. I finally sat down a couple of weeks ago and put sponge to paper. This is the tin I used for inspiration (brand name edited):
I wanted a dramatic card so decided to use another favourite stamp set for the foreground, Forever Young, and dark colours in the foreground, making my background the feature. This card came together surprisingly quickly and it turned out even better than I had seen it in my head!
I love the addition of the tag across the base, it helps to break up the large expanse of Chocolate Chip Ink. The bright blingy brad adds a bit of elegance! To be honest, this photo really doesn't do the original justice. I think it is one of the best cards I have made. This one I have to keep!
PERFECT in every way!
